Soliloquy Bride Erin just sent over her Destination Wedding Day images and we are just in love with her Gorgeously Simplistic Beach Affair in Turks and Caicos! We asked Erin some questions about her special day to share with our followers. Enjoy!

How did you meet your husband Ashlea?

Ashlea and I met at a bar through my Uncle almost four years ago. Ashlea and I kept looking at each other from across the room and my Uncle must of noticed and went up to Ashlea and asked him if he wanted to play shuffleboard with us. Ashlea and I ended up talking for the rest of the night and have been together ever since.

What was the special circumstances of your courtship, engagement and wedding?

Ashlea surprised me completely when he proposed. I am not easily surprised and nothing gets past me and he managed to pull it off without me knowing at all. He took me to a Virginia winery and tried to ask me to marry him by a big tall tree at the winery, but the grass was wet so I wouldn’t go near the tree. He then got down on one knee with a beautiful ring right before we left and had a surprise dinner at a local bed and breakfast. It was wonderful.

Why did you pick the location?

We were married in Turks and Caicos because Ashlea’s mother’s side of the family lived there years ago, and we both wanted to get married at a beach and thought getting married at a place with family history would make it even more special.

Who attended?
A lot of our family and friends were able to make the wedding so it was great having everyone together to celebrate our special day.

Were there some special moments you can share?

All of our guests had a great time. Everyone danced and loved the food. My Dad and Uncle sang “My Way’ (changed it to ‘Our Way’) by Frank Sinatra to Ashlea and I and it was quite a hit.

How do you decided on the vibe of it all?

We wanted a laid back, fun, no shoes wedding and that’s exactly what we got. It was the PERFECT wedding!!
